October CWiB Meeting Highlights

OCTOBER HIGHLIGHTS

This month the featured speaker was Folsom Mayor Lance Willie, who was invited to speak on the business environment in the Village of Folsom.  He was accompanied by the municipal clerk, Margra Steele.  Both participants spoke to the crowd and stayed afterward to speak to attendees.  The mayor noted that if business owners have an upcoming event in the Folsom area, to call the Mayor’s office with the pertinent information and they will be happy to post it to their website.  He also spoke about the potential businesses that may be coming to the Village of Folsom. The Mayor encouraged new business ideas in response to the needs of the community.  He invited community participation at council meetings held the second Monday of each month at 6pm at the Town Hall.  (The minutes of each meeting are finalized within 30 days and posted on the village website.). Mayor Willie is also trying to get an automated calling system together for those who are subscribed for events and happenings in and around the Folsom area.
